We've got 2 options for ranges/locations in the B'ham area.

One is the FOP range http://www.foprangeinc.com/

The FOP range is a pay rage that allows long guns and pistols

The other is http://www.alpistol.com/

ccarnel is a member here , and can get us the homey hookup on gettting in. It's a pistol only range, unless you buy frangible .223 ammo for the AR owners.

I vote for the FOP range so I can shoot more than handguns.


It's also been suggested for lunch somewhere in 'Ham with some S2kca guys in the area before the range. This way it's a dual purpose event. The Fox and Hound has been suggested, but I'd vote for a place closer to either range to maximize shooting time for the out of towners.

If you don't have a gun but like to shoot, it's not a big issue. I plan on bringing more than 1 and you can plink away, just bring some $$ or ammo.

Charles, what range are you in for?

 

Either one really. I've just got to pick up some ammo. I've been putting up so much of my cash into new firearms I haven't really started buying a lot of ammo. I've got pistol ammo because i've always had the pistols, just little rifle ammo.
