There are two or three working betas putting down some serious horses (and under the curve torque ).

I wish this kit would go retail -- and sell enough to go CARB..

The thing about the roots type is the boost comes full on really early in the rpm range, like 2500-3000rpm. So there is some real inherent problems with high revving applications such as an S2000, it will promote major detonation. Friend of mine had one on his 99 civic si and he spent all kinds of money trying to tune this thing in a way that would make it work, with water injection to help tame the detonation at lower rpm, make shift boost control that turns up with a servo as the rpm's increase. Neat concept but these kinds of superchargers were meant for Mustangs and cars that turn 5000rpm

i had one on my JDM B16A swapped civic, the best $2500 i ever spent, the car was sooo fun to drive. And no tuning, just what came with the kit. Also had header, SRI, GSR cams and the SC kit from Jackson Racing. I never had a detonation problem unless i ran 87 octane fuel.

Tunning it in a way that would make it work?? Bolt on the kit, wire up the little relay box they give you and it works perfect. Once you start modifying what their engineers designed it to do...then it starts to not work unless you throw in timing retard and methanol/ethanol/water injection.

may not have put down serious numbers to compete with 14psi turbo setups but it was alot more fun, and the sound was just awesome.

I wish JR would put out a kit for us so bad...id buy one without hesitation!

Acceleration Run in Jackson Civic

Acceleration run from outside

Some fun on a backroad

I'd still like to pick one up IF it ever comes out. Wlaurent has reported no serious issues and his is tuned with EMU.

I wonder what that breather filter that looks like it is coming out of the throttle body is for?

This kit will also require battery relocation.

You must have some bad info.....

None of the beta kits have had any problems with detonation.

Weird i had one on my b16 in my civic and never once had to get it "pro" tuned. Local honda delership installed it and it was good to go. Prolly the best mod i ever bought for any car.
