Default RSX Type S challendge ! 1st gear gone ?

Okay gang,

There's a guy in the same parking garage as me with an RSX Type S. He stuck his head out and said something akin to "nice car, too bad s2000 owners don't know how to drive"... me in my suit .. he thinks I'm some "suit" who doesn't know anyting bout street racing.. wrong !!! His passenger started to get into as well..

All this is happening as we're creeping in 1st side by side on level 8..

we have to get to level 2 for the exit..

He continued to exchang pleasantries side by side, as such, but I decided to let my "revving' do the talking" then like a scene from that movie "Driven" no joke.. We were dualling side by side in the parking lot. (don't worry we both work late so that reduced our risk of a head on collision) We both revved out 1st gears around some tight corners.. (for those F1 fans, remember Montoya passing Schumacher in Brazil 2001).. that was me.. It was a dangerous move on the inside.. we almost scraped mirrors.. I went from the outside to the inside in one crank of VTEC.. but I could hear him as well.. wow ! I wish I had an audio tape of that in a covered parking garage.. it was LOUD !!!

we continued nose to nose but I'd beat him everytime approaching, exiting.. I was really hoping and praying..I didn't hear "bang" or "thud" from his front nose hitting my left rear.. I was more the risk take by far..

We both get to level 2 and now his story is a little different, his talk is a little different.. his testosterone machismo level has sombered somewhat..

Have I done any damage to my tranny or engine by staying in 1st for so long and at such high revs ??

Next weekend, we're meeting up north as he wants to go at it again for some "revenge" with on some 'secluded' roads..

Is there any special way to drive against these RSX -S's.. I know it's going to be a close one and I DO NOT WANT TO LOSE cuz I know they're pretty fast.. I've got 40 more bhp as I believe his stock is 200HP.. but being that we're both Vtec.. I dunno..

I would really appreciate some tips..

-Simon

Unless you are a crappy driver, I wouldnt worry too much. Your S should handily cream his RSX.

From a dead stop, from a roll, in reverse, hell, even upside down, you should run away.

No they deserve credit.... but you should still eat him up and spit him out, even if you are not the best driver. But be safe and don't wreak that kick ass car of yours.

suit on ? I dunno about that.. I'll likely get car jacked after that or something

but I'll let you all know how it went, and if it actually happens? because our weather here in Toronto Canada has changed over to winter... so I may get snowed out
