Default Peeps who have had Map Sensor problems please post...

If you've had the Map Sensor problem, please post the year of your car, the mileage it started at, and what you did to fix it (beat on it, had the dealer replace it, etc...). We might be able to find a pattern, and at the very least if anyone else has the problem they can print this thread for their service dept. Thanks.

Just picked mine up yesterday. Symptoms were extreme hesitation at part throttle, higher reves (6500+). Additionally, I was experiencing fuel cut-off at 115-130mph in various gears. Outide temps ranged from 80-90deg F.

It started at about about 36,000mi and had the sensor replaced at 41K. Apparently this was recommended by the Honda tech line.

I of course went in with a printout of TFota's problems.

Was fixed for no charge even though the car is o.o.w.

Mine went bad at about 17,500 miles. I had extreme hesitation at 3/4 to full throttle, starting at about 4500 rpm's. The only way to get it to a higher rpm was to do it slowly at part throttle.

Well, that's a start. I just can't stop smilin' at the thought of someone printing this thread out and taking it to the dealer. The service manager starts to read it and his attention is suddenly diverted to...an ass...hehe. I couldn't have planned it better Gregg...ROFLMFAO!

What year is your car CG?

Andrew, mine's a '00 (#811).

Also, if you feel uncomfortable showing my best side to your service manager, I suggest using the "Show printable version" option at the bottom of the page.

So, I understand all those words individually, but when I read them in order, I get confused.
