You're right Utah, but I wasn't thinking. There was a post on this subject not too long ago that got me thinkin' tho'. It was something about this Map Sensor being used in many Honda automobiles, and for many years previous. Somehow that doesn't jive with the fact that all but one of the peeps have '00 Stooks. If it's such a common MS, and it's the same one for both years, then just as many '01 Stooks should have the problem. Maybe the mileage? I just thought I'd try to narrow it down for future reference, seemed like a good idea at the time.

Hestitation on starts, and when you depress the clutch in , it almost dies, but regains itself. MY2000 don't have the VIN handy, with 14k miles. Happens pretty consistently every morning when I start the car.
Had mine replaced today. Began a few days ago with "stumbling" or "stuttering" as I'd hit VTEC, then progressed to stumbling under VTEC rpms as well. It became more and more frequent, then it seemed to have a sudden meltdown, stalled as I tried to downshift into a corner, then stumbled to the point of refusing to accelerate beyond 3000 rpms yet still stalled if I let it go below 1600 +/-. I had to drive the rest of the way home at a max of 18 mph...
All's well now, no stumbling, no hesitation, and I'm a happy camper!

And it worked fine...no more problems with it.
