Default Jones Honda Service: Effed up my car!!! Kind of Long.

Ok, here is my story, well nightmare. I am posting this to make the S2000 community aware of my encounter with Jones Honda Service in Lancaster, PA. I will be sure to post the results and remedies the dealer makes:

Where it all starts:

I noticed my 1-2nd grind while cornering in Knoxville on the dragon, I then pursued cornering in 3 rd gear quite a bit more, actually I was trying to be like Lips2000...haha

Anyway, I stop by at Jones upon my return, the service manager is more than happy to deal with me, as many of you know, my brother and sister both have S2000's as well, so they are quite friendly with my family.

Anyway, we go out for a short half-mile drive where they determine that my car does need the TSB for the clutch and the synchro, I am ok with this.

I drop my car off on a Tuesday, letting them know that I have a second car, so please keep it as long is required for correct repair. They agree to keep it inside and I am

I stop by on Friday to see my car has not yet been worked on, and is sitting with the top down and the hood open, in the service throughway. When I inquired as to why it had the hood open..."oh a customer opened your hood

Good Luck on getting this resolved.

One small point. Remember this is an INTERNATIONAL Forum, it would be helpful to know what country, city or state you are writing from. Jones is a fairly common name and there may be more than one Jones Honda in North America, Spain, Japan or wherever you are writing from

Thanks,
James

I drove over my tool kit. Seems to me that there is more at risk than a piece of styrofoam.

Do you mean to say they used the bottom of the trunk as a jacking point? That would be pretty boneheaded.

They should have just used the fender as a jack point like Beavis and Butthead did that one time they tried to change a flat tire.

Hope Jones comes through!!!!

Luckily, Jones Acura (100 yards away) didn't F' up my integra last week!

Ahh ... There we go, another displeased and definitely unsatisfied Honda service customer ... I'm spot on ... Bloody Honda when it comes to service, integrity level is getting lower every time someone hits the complain button.

Let us know how it all truns out. Those service technicians have to be pretty stupid to think that the toolkit well would be strong enough to support the car. Just from that act alone, I'd be very worried about taking my car there.

ALso thought it was really messed up that they let a customer open the hood of your car. What the hell are they doing back there!!!

Marty,
Sorry to hear about your troubles. It sounds mighty familiar.

I'm in good with the right people at the dealership here.
