Default Headlights?

I have an '04 s2k. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to align the headlights? Pictures would be nice, but not a big deal. Thanks!

Do not touch them. They are supposed to be skewed from factory. Again, do not touch them.

The passanger side beam usually points "further" down the road than the driver side as well, so keep that in mind (its to illuminate road signs on the right hand side)

I've driven a lot of cars (both with HIDs and without) that have the passenger beam higher than the driver's side.

This is especially useful on the S2000, because the HIDs have such a fine line cutoff on top, that illuminating road signs is hard enough.

your pattern should look something like this:
'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' ''''''''''''''_______________________
_______________________/

that pattern is normal.

ignore the ' - they are placeholders.
hope that helps.

To satisfy your curiosity, the Helm manual says that BOTH sides should project downward 2.1 inches (52 mm) lower than the lens height, when projected on a vertical surface 25ft (7.5 m) away. In other words, 0.4 degrees down tilt. I haven't checked mine but I know they're not both at the same height, as others have said.

they are at the same height when they have the staggered appearance...

each headlight has the same stepped pattern.
'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' ''''''''''''''_______________________
_______________________/

so, when you align them, the patterns should line up. in fact, if you find a good wall and move the car back and forth from the wall looking closely, you'll see that the pattern is actually more like a:

'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' ''''''''''''''_______________________
_______________________/_/

where the image of the two headlights meet and overlap.
