This is an option again only available in Japan.
This is like similar to mirrors availble from Spoon but not stick on like the Spoons.
This will set you back $120 and what is exactly different than stock or Spoons?

The mirror comes in separate assembled panel and has bluish coat similar to Spoons and BMWs.
It also has capable of dissipating water droplet well in case of rain through use of special surfaces.

Well on to the pictures,

Removing the mirror panel is suprisingly piece of cake.
Just grab the bottom portion and gently but firmly pry it open. Don't worry if it makes sickly breaking sound, it is normal.

Check out the side by side pics. Hmm, Aqua Clean.

Naked mirror housing.

Put the top portion first, anchor the top hinged portion and firmly push in the bottom portion until it snaps back in.

Strangely, driver side of the orginal mirror had additional backing of adhesive tape, hmm....

I like it very much. But bear in mind that if you haven't noticed it before, your left and right mirror is different.
While the left is normal, your right mirror is wide angled.
In this new mirror, it is reversed since it is only available in Japan. Hence, my driver side is wide angled while the passenger side stays normal.
It feels and looks bit strange since I am getting use to the blueish color and opposite wide angled view on my side.
But other than the surface being new, everything looks defined and clearer than before. It should cut down on glare from sunlight or any other strong light source and will be better in rainly condition by dissipating water beads well.

I got this again from help of my friend in Japan but I am sure you can get them from MG Racing.

Randy,

What holds the mirrors in? From the pic of the housing, it looks as if 4 clips hold it, but later pics show some white goo...

When ripping it out, did you have to worry about stripping the power mirror gears?

Randy, how's the night time visibility? Mingster said the Spoon mirrors made night time visibility bad b/c headlights at night appeared to be brighter in the mirrors then the oem version.

Spoon is a performance parts company, and they make a stick-on side rear view mirror.

MacGyver 3 plastic holder and a pair hinge where you anchor the back of the mirror panel.
Strangely my driver side had white adhesive stuff on it while the right side didn't as you can see from the picture.
There is no need to worry about damaging the actuator or plastic parts, they come off if you are firm with it when prying open.

HondaGuy, obvisously the overall color of the object becomes cooler than before but brighter? I didn't see that.
But I will carefully observe how different it is than before.
