Supercharged With Aftercooler Hot!!
Take a look at the link below. It shows my Supercharged S2K with aftercooler by Vortech. I tried to post earlier but wasn't quite sure how to do the links for the pix. So Clive Weeks a fellow S2KI member set up this link. THANKS CLIVE! My buddie works at Vortech and they used my car as a project car. SWEEETT! The guys were so cool and they did an awesome job. I wanted more HP like all of you and didn't want to settle for a few ponies more. I wanted to notice the difference. So on the golf course one day I suggested to my buddie that they use my car as a project car because only a few companies offer anything. They didn't take the hook. So I kept trying and trying. Then one day I get en email from him. "When can you get your car down here?" They wanted to put something together for the just passed SEMA show in Vegas. So after some hard thinking ( about 2 seconds ) I returned his email and said, "I'm on the way." They had my car for about 6 weeks. Funny thing happened after it was done. I had the car on display in Vegas ( I work at Bend-Pak Inc. ) and a guy comes up and says, "Holy Cow", I never heard of the 2000S model. Does that mean it comes with the supercharger? I scratched my head and didn't quite understand. Then he pointed it out. During the work, a guy at Vortech scratched the front fender and they were kind enough to take it the body shop and have the whole fender painted. Well the guys at the body shop put back the emblems in reverse. So instead of S2000 it says 2000S. Too funny. I think I will leave it that way just to keep people guessing. The motor runs sweet. Still not dyno-ed yet but I can tell you it hauls ass. Stopped by the Honda dealer and a salesguy said "Dude, you gotta take me for a spin!" So he got it and I went around the corned on a quiet street then lit em up. I was almost scared myself. It didn't want to stop burnin so I had to let off. He grabbed the dash and his eyes were wide open. That was really the first time I launched it with the SC. Launced at about 3500K. I'm not sure how much the kit will cost. They havent offered it yet. They have a new 02 model that they are playing with. My buddie says that it doesn't run as good as mine. Mine has about 42K on odo.
Well gotta go. My kids spilled OJ on keypad and the keys are sticking. I am getting so @$%#&*+&%$!!! frustrated.
P.S. The licence plate was my wifes idea. She said as_hole was already taken. Now I tell all the other fart pipe imports that it is the last thing they will see when I pass them.

congrats!!! looks very similar to the comptech. thats funny my body shop did the samething with my emblems. A word of advice get the Dyno done tomorrow cause people on this board will hunt you till death for does dyno sheets.

I feel like such a dork for not having a dyno chart to post yet. Soon, I promise. I talked to my buddy at Vortech last night and he said they were still frustrated with the 02 S2K. Said it still wants to detonate. I told him mine still runs smooth and that they should take my car back to do a complete test etc. Remember, they rushed my car to get ready for the last SEMA show in Vegas. They finshed bolting it on the Saturday beofre the show. I drove it to Vegas the very next day. I've been having so much fun with it that I didn't want to let it go again. Since mine was the first kit, they did it for nada so I kind of don't want to overstay my welcome if you know what I mean. Hopefully I will get a call from the engineers over at Vortech to "borrow" my car. Then maybe I will have some hard facts to post.

Got a call from the guys at Vortech. They are picking up my car on Monday. They're gonna keep it for a week to do some tests. Hopefully I'll have a dyno chart to show soon.
By the way, before the kit they did a baseline at 196. I'm not sure how they checked it or what dyno they have. I'll try to find out and let you know.
Still runs good. I haven't taken it over 8K yet. Waiting for their OK after the test.
If any of you have thought about purchasing a Vortech unit for your S2KI when it becomes available I have some straight up advice for you.

Those guys over there know what they're doing. The kit they put on my car even though it was a first time "prototype" job looks flawless. I stopped by and got the nickle tour of their plant and operations. Like working in the aerospace industry or soemthing. Everything was spit shined with all this tech stuff all over the place. The place was HUGE! And kits everywhere. Everything was spotless which showed what these guys are all about. Perfection.
Hope to have semething for you soon.

Hey Jeff_S_K, does the supercharger make any noise, do you hear that hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii pitched WHINE???? that tells everyone to get the F*** OUT OF MY WAY!!!! How about the BOV....do you hear it venting? When does it open up...on acceleration? between shifts? Decel?.... Gotta give me something to work with!?!

Remember the days in school when someone cruised around with a 69 camaro and a "tunnel ram" blower ( isn't that what we used to call them ) sticking out of the hood? You always heard that whine. What a sweet sound. Loved it.
My cheap imitation back then was inadvertantly wiring the amp on my radio in such a way that a "whine" would emit from the speakers in precise time with the RPM's. Contrary to popular beleif I did'nt get the chicks because of that neat trick though.
Yes the SC makes a whine. But just a subtle one. ( Not more than the vacuum whistle some of us could hear after removing our air boxes.) It is just noisy enough to let people know that something is goin on under the hood. Now the BOV is another topic. I let my buddy drive the car last week. He cruises back gigglin. It sounds like a heart / lung machine! I think it still sounds stealthy enough to get the jump on most cars because I haven't added exhaust or headers. After reading the forums, I don't think I am going to.
Cruise to Moorpark, CA and I'll let you take it for a spin.
