Did you look in the secret compartment for the manual?

i believe you hold down the button that says clock under it and then hit the number 5 and 6 to change hours minutes etc.

i'd have to look but i'm fairly certain that is it.

On my '04 model, you push and hold the "clock" button down until the hours start flashing. I think they go first? You can then push the "+" or "-" buttons to change the numbers up or down respectively. You don't have to continue to hold the clock button. Then push, but don't hold the "clock" button again to toggle to the minutes and set them the same way you set the hours. Finally, push the "clock" button one more time to exit the set mode.

Here you go, straight from the 2001 S2000 Owners Manual, page 101:

To set the time, Press the CLOCK (AM/FM) button for more than two seconds until you hear a beep. The time display will begin blinking. To set the hour, press and hold the H (Preset 4) button until the hour advances to the desired time.

To set the minutes, press and hold the M (Preset 5) button until the numbers advance to the desired time.

When you are finished, press the CLOCK (AM/FM) button again. The time display will stop blinking and the time is now set.

<edit> OH, I see you figured it out.

Why does every stereo / microwave / VCR have to have a different way to set the time. This is one of my little pet peeves in life. I work in the computer biz, and I've come across some watches in my life that even I couldn't figure out how to set without a manual.

All these years, no standards. It's kind of unbelievable.

Thank god that my cable box auto-sets its time.
