Spark Plug & Oil Filter ?'s
1. what mileage/when should the plugs be changed? Im @ about 80,000. I pulled them once already, cleaned them, and checked the gap.
2. how long do the wires/coil packs last? when should they be changed, and how much are they?
3. what spark plugs are good for a stock motor, and how much/where to buy?
4. what part number is the best filter from the dealer? i run royal purple, and have been buying my filter from the dealer, but heard there is only one filter part # i should buy.
FYI. I got the car used from a honda dealer, with about 33k on it. I keep up on all the basic maintanence, likes tires, brakes, fluids, etc, so its not like my car is neglected, but I wanted to know about a few other things, since the S is different from any other car I have had before.
Any help/info would be GREATLY appreciated, and thanks for your time.

1) The maint guide says to change at 54k miles.
2) Not sure the lifespan. I don't think there is a schduled change mileage. Replace as they go bad (should throw a code...at least it did on my parents Maxima when one died). I know there are some S2ks approaching 200k miles and have not had to replace them.
3) Use OEMs. The are a very sturdy platinum plug. Can get at NAPA (PN 7772) or order online. I've found Club Plug have the best shipped online price. OEM is NGK Laser Platinum PFR7G-11S. They should be around $50-60.
4) Supposedly the JDM Honda filter is ideal (I would use the search feature). However, there are a couple of good online oil filter tests you can google. The K&N, Mobile 1 (if you can find it), Puralator PureONE, and Fram X2 (and only the X2) all show favorably in reviews.

Just ordered my plugs online. Got NGK # pfr7g-11s for only $10.43 each, on clubplug.net..... Cheaper than about 12 other sites I visited, including hardtopguy, sparkplugs.com, and s2ki marketplace.
Yup...they have great prices, but they are a bit slow on the shipping. Placed my order on the 6th, notified of shipping on the 10th, plugs arrived USPS on 20th. So don't get irritated if it seems to be taking a while to receive the plugs. The "owner", Frank, is quick to respond to emails though and seems to be a good seller.
Thanks for all the info. I called the dealer yesterday about the plugs, before I ordered them online, and he wouldn't give me the part # for them. I found it on here though, ordered them online, and saved my self almost $28 versus getting them from the dealer
