I'm thinking about picking up a Neo Ion adapter (mp3yourcar.com) for my '06 S, but I'm uncertain if it'll fit being that Honda has updated the new factory headunit.
I've been hearing bad things about the MusicLink (I'm not sure if it allows you to control the music from the ipod interface itself), and very good things about the Neo Ion.
On the mp3yourcar website where you choose your car, model, year, etc, you can pick the 2006 as your model year for the s2000 but for some odd reason there's also a 2007 link available. So I'm not sure if they're just full of themselves or what..
Anyway, is anyone here using the adapter for their '06? Please let me know!
So can you fully control the music from the Ipod and also control it from the HU? Is there a long gap when skipping songs? (I heard someone else complain of this).
BTW there's a demo video on the Neo website where they install the Neo into an S2000 (what a coincidence). They show you how to put the Neo behind the HU, if you're interested.
Is there enough cable to extend to the storage box b/w the seats?
Ys you can fully control things from your Ipod and use your headunit. That's one of the reasons I went with this setup instead of the Honda Music Link. 90% of the time I have no lag when skipping songs. The other 10% a lag is there but it's barely noticeable.
Enough cable to make it all the way to the storage box? I have no idea

Doesn't Honda have a Ipod adapter kit available? I heard they do...
they do but i heard its junk and complicated to use beacuse you have to access your music through your head unit. there are also no displays on the head unit. so unless you pratice. you prob wont be able to choose your music unless you park and do it.
