Finally finished my S2000 Stereo Install
Welp, yesterday evening I finally finished my system install. It truned out pretty sweet and Im very happy.
Specs:
Kenwood Exelon KDC-X817 Head Unit
Polk EX365 6.5" Drop-in Door Speaker Set
Polk EX340 Rear with Lucids panels
And finally (The best part):
PhatNoise 30gb PhatBox MP3 JukeBox
I have to say that I am very impressed with this setup. I have to thank Lucid for his handy work and the Polk recomendation.
The PhatNoise PhatBox (http://www.phatnoise.com) is simply amazing. Im much happer with the Kenwood and a PhatBox that an Empeg. The Empeg just doesnt have the good looks of an aftermarket HU. If anyone is interested, I have set up some new un official forums for the PhatBox at:

Its not pretty but it works, and plenty of PhatBox owners and wanna be owner are using them.
Ill try to get pictures of the install up soon.

did you know that phatbox isn't going to be sold anymore?
they just sold all their phatboxes and now they are starting to make 10 gig phatboxes for kenwood and so kenwood can sell it to us for a higher price... oh yeah, the kenwood version is not universal...it only works for kenwood

Yes I know that, but Im not sure I agree with the higher price statement. Im guessing after MSRP is discounted, it will be about the same price. I really dont know.
From what PhatNoise says, there are unannounced deals in place to support not kenwood units. But, yes you are correct. Right now it looks like the Kenwood will be the only version available for a at least a short time.
