Default install stereo headunit

Hello
I've just purchased a sony DSX-S100 from bestbuy. However i don't want to have them install it because they always, always charge you more than they promise. when i had my celica gts they charged me 200 dollars for installation when they told me it would only be 50 bucks and the reason is it took longer than they expected. what a load of crap.

So anyways, does any body here knows how to install a head unit? I will definitely pay.

Thanks

is that the only stereo upgrade you plan to do or in the foreseeable near future? you'll get a better rate if you do all your audio at once and the wow factor of 100% stock vs. complete setup is priceless

agreed. it's better to install the whole thing as a set to get the full effect. but i guess it's up to you..

I couldn't help you myself, but the best advice I could give is find a member here, or find a stereo shop that someone here has used and trusts. It's a fairly basic job, but easy enough to screw up if you give it to someone who doesn't know what they are doing. I agree with everyone else, upgrade the entire system, rather than piece by piece.

I went from bone stock system to an upgraded: headunit, speakers, amps, and sub. Its well well worth it. I can't even hear my Comptech exhaust when I really turn it up. But then again, that could be from hearing loss...nothing to brag about!

If you want the oem radio control to work, you might want to get an adapter like modifry.

Head over to motor music and talk to joe. If joe's not there, you could try talking to willie, and you can haggle him down about price. Tell him I sent you there. Only ask junior to work on your car. His work is clean, plus he knows s2000's, cus he's worked on my car numerous times lol
