The first time I tracked my S2000 I beat the crap out of it and was hitting 145 on that back and front strait at PIR. how bout you?

 

161 mph, my only mod is a CAI.

 

151 stock all the way

Taken it to 130 on the 101 south...once

don't really like to go too fast on the street though...unless it is a TOTALLY empty one, like the one I did 155 in my Eclipse

I plan to go to Buttonwillow this summer though, so we'll see how I do there...I dont think the straight is TOO long though...ehh S2k is all about the twisties anyway

154 top down. Apex N1 single exhaust, only

 

65 on highway , 102 at end of 1/4 mile.

 

119 on a backroad..didnt wanna push it any harder (its a MY04) and i wasnt comfortable quite yet cause its my first s2k. i did have about 900 miles though so i didnt do it before break in. dont mean to hijack this thread but does anyone know if the 04s will top out as high or higher than the 00-03s? possibly due to the upped torque to give the car a lil more push? im not trying to start a war just a curious question

 

In my opinion (and based on the fact that the older ones are able to hold each gear longer..) I would say that the 04's will hit the redline and be around 145-150 as everyone is saying that 6th gear is unchanged.

(6th gear at 8K RPM in an 03 S2K is around 147-150?)
If 6th is unchaged in the MY04, it will be at its redline at this point where as the older S2Ks will have another grand to pull.
