any ideas? its not there when the car is cold... once it warms up the sound starts up.. most pronounced at lower rpm's (engine probably too loud after 3k)

sound disappears when i step down on the clutch... will sometimes be there at idle (video 1)

THAT is 100% a bad timing chain tensioner.

I paid 170 or so to get mine fixed a month ago.

 

170 wowzers! steep, i think i got mine from Hardtopguy for like 120 and it takes about 15 min to replace, theres an excellent DIY on here, its cake!

Oh I don't know, I just took it to Blake's and he took care of it. The $50 extra in labor is considerably reasonable considering I may F* it up ..lol

 

heh gotcha ^^, im not gonna lie, i paid 2NRWerks to put mine in as well, but im lazy

 

ha yea I had someone help me just in case. However its really quite simple, it will make more sense when you pull the old one out. Follow those directions and you will have zero issues.
