I understand that this is a decent product, but it's not really marketed towards the sports compact market. Last I heard it doesn't support ignition timing ethier, therefore, it does less than an e-manage. Also, the tuners for this product charge alot of money to tune, and the software isn't generally available.....

Try reducing the price to $200 or so.....

Not this again!

The Unichip is a decent product, but due to the S2000's multicoil system it has no control over ignition. So what the Unichip can do is control A/F (by faking manifold pressure) and use one of it's outputs to control VTEC.

Sound familar? Yes, it's a VAFC without the display or interface that costs a fortune to tune.

As for the 31rwhp, well that's just BS.

another thing, the chip i am selling is already fine tuned by dastek, so it wont hurt ur engine at all. but if people tune their car with other chips by themselves or by someone dont really know what they are doing, they will mess up their engine, if it's too rich then is fine, but if it's too lean, it's gonna hurt the motor as what i know. so I am pretty sure the unit i am selling is better than a VAFC.

It has been fine tuned by Dastek for 'your' car. If someone were to buy it they would have to have it retuned for theirs.

I'm not saying this to you, as you have already been told but refuse to accept it. I'm saying it to anyone who may be consideing buying it from you.

hey guys, since i need $ really badly, i'll take any offer for this unit, but i'll let it go for the highest bidder. the price will be at least $400 because i dont want anyone offering me too low. so free to give me an offer, you prolly will get it for a very cheap price if not too many people were interested.

Au contrare, the sites you have visited say it controls ignition timing on most cars. The reason you won't find any reference to it controlling the S2000's igntion timing is that it doesn't.

You ask for solid fact:

I have a Honda S2000 and am considering a piggy back ECU. I have
heard that the Unichip will control air/fuel, but because of the S2000's
multi coil ignition system, will not control ignition timing. Is this
correct?

Hi,

Yes, at present, we don't have the means to control timing. New versions are
being developed all the time and we may have a suitable unit next year.

Thanks for your enquiry and I hope we can assist you then.

Solid enough for ya?

I doubt it!
