Default Engine torque damper worth the investment?

WOOT! First post!

Just wondering if it's worth the money? I'm looking to dress the engine compartment up a little and it does look nice, but does it really have any functionality?

Thanks for any input,
MCStone

This has been discussed 1000x and those that don't have it will say it just sits there looking pretty. I rock it along with the puddymod bracket and it definitely works for me. I figured how to adjust it exactly to what I like so here.

FYI it is not a "shock" like it seems but more like an extra mount for the top of your engine. There is a rubber inside that is compressed when the engine vibrates.

sorry for rehashing. The search feature on the forum leaves something to be desired. Not to mention I was just looking for a good reason to make my first post.

Any more input on dolling up the engine bay is welcome.

Thanks again,
Michael

Im surprised to see it made a noticeable difference on an 06 s2000. I was thinking ETDs were more for the older cars who's motor mounts were starting to flex a lot more.

I installed one and honestly couldn't tell a difference... I didn't have it set on max though. I took it off, but after I get the puddy mount powdercoated I'm gonna put it back on.

i noticed a night and day difference... you have to make sure you preload it correctly... otherwise it wont make a difference.
