Drove a modded 2009 Miata. Miata > S2000
Sofaking Fun
It had coilovers, intake, +1 wheel upgrade, header back exhaust, etc.
Thing was a riot on turns, had solid steering, stability at speed and pickup. Felt much better than the S2000.
Good amount of torque, didn't turn off TC and try to induce throttle over steer due to rain but could tell this would be faster in real world driving. Great platform for a street car that does casual lapping.
Interior was a notch up too, with steering wheel mounted controls, seat warmers, easy to read analog gauges, storage pockets and a fine shifter.

What bout driving a modded S2k?
I give the Miata the edge for reasons listed and others like lightweight, ease of use top - looks better folded than the S2000's, better roll bar options etc.
