Default those of you with apr cooling plate...

I was wondering if you guys kept the stock rubber molding/remounted on the apr cooling plate or kept it off...?(the rubber piece that's in front of the hood) The cooling plate is kind of touching the hood and it's hard to close my hood...I'm going to move up the latch...but I was wondering if you guys kept the rubber stripping. Thanks.

i just installed my apr cf cooling plate and i removed the stock metal metal housing but reinstalled the rubber molding onto the apr plate, and it fix just fine, first time. i made a few slight adjustments, moving the plate a couple mm's up or down, but no rubbing/touching issues with the hood. did you install it under the radiator bracket stays?

Thanks. I'm going to realign the cooling plate and the hood latch. I guess the hood was rubbing against the plate because I had to push down the hood. My hood won't close by dropping...so I had to carefully push it down and I guess that's when the hood was hitting the plate...
