2003 S2000 Raffle starting soon!
Coming this Summer to someone's driveway........
I've been helping getting our Church's major 2003 fundraiser started, and as you might have guessed it's going to be a brand new 2003 Honda S2000. After seeing some of the different autos advertised by other charitable organizations, people had suggested all types of cars, but you know our first raffle had to be a S2000!
The Church now has all of their state and municiple raffle permits, and the tickets are being printed now. (The only down side is that I can't buy a ticket, since I'm involved with the raffle.) I'll start a new thread as soon as the raffle website is up (3/16/2003) with all of the "official" information. We also hope to have a sponsor banner here at S2Ki.
The drawing will be June 15, 2003 - Now that is a Happy father's Day Gift
! All the details coming soon....

OK It's official..... The S2000 Raffle has now started!
Now is your chance to win a brand new 2003 Honda S2000 (MSRP $32,600). With a minimum of 400 tickets, and maximum of 1,000 tickets, your chances of being the lucky winner of this heart-pounding sports car are excellent.
The drawing is on June 15, 2003, but of course the winner does not need to be present to win. All net proceeds of this auto raffle fundraiser will benefit the Church of Religious Science- Montvale NJ. Check out the website www.autoraffle.org today with all of the details on how to order your ticket. Tickets cost $100. ea. (less then the cost of one new tire) The raffle site uses PayPal for all Major Credit cards. There are also links back to S2Ki & the Honda U.S. site to spread the word on the S2000.
There are other raffles from other non-profit organizations, for cars like the Ford T-Bird selling a ton more tickets, but how cool is this!
Let's show them that as members of S2Ki we know it would be great to have two S2000's.

It's hard to imagine that they won't sell 400 tickets. They also will be at a huge shopping mall in the NJ area for several Saturdays in April and May.
The website has all the info, but to answer you question: If 400 tickets are not sold prior to the drawing, all money would be refunded to anyone who purchased a ticket. The reason... CRS is purchasing the car it is not being donated.
I can tell you that people have put a lot of time and energy into getting this raffle registered, and I would be very surprised if they don't sell over 600 tickets.

I'm VERY wary of these types of posts...these types of raffles have been seen plenty of times before on other boards and they turned out to be a scam. I'm not saying that's the case here, only caveat emptor...
Please feel free to research the NJ permit from the NJ Commission of Legalized Games of Chance, as well as our local Town Council. In the State of New Jersey, only recognized non-profit and Religious organizations are qualified to have a raffle under State law. There was a mountain of paperwork required to be filed with the State, and If you go to the Raffle Site, the NJ and Montvale permits are all clearly listed.
There have been, and are many Churches and Non-Profit organizations across the nation who have helped a lot of people through raffles. I'm a little surprised that you would claim that many or "any" of these licensed raffles are scams.
I am thankfull that S2Ki enabled CRS to advertise their licensed raffle on our site. Please take the time to check out the Raffle site and the link to the Church site.
