At some point we all must buy replacement tires.

Over the past couple years I've gather a lot of information from this site which I thought I would share since there is understandably a lot of confusion on this subject. I'm no tire expert but I've tried to gather the information from owners more knowledgeable than myself. I hope you find it useful.

Tire Measurements Explained:

225 / 50 R 16 The first part, 225, is the section width of the tire - sidewall to sidewall - measured in millimeters (mm). The second part, 50, is the sidewall height - measured as a percentage of the section width. Thus 50 equates to 50% of 225 mm or 112.5mm. The third part, 16, is the diameter of the wheel in inches.

General S2000 Tire Info:

The contact patch (tread width) on the S2000's Original Equipment (OE) Bridgestone S02 tire is slightly different than you will find on other brand tires of the

great explanation...one question though....
I have 17" wheels, and jim ok'd me for 245-40 rear and 225-45 front, is this still ok for the stagger?!

Edited to increase the price of a full set of new tires, and to include comments on tire pressure and tire changing equipment
