Had a great time yesterday! I guess the easiest way to sum this track up is one word,FAST!
. I saw 3rd gear several times. Was to scared to check my speed but I'm sure it was in the 80's.
For any of you who have been there you know what I mean and if you haven't I'd highly recommend making the drive down sometime if you live within a few hours. The track is just Awesome.
They had about a hundred cars turn out. I believe there were 8 in my class (AS). Aside from some timing difficulties everything whet pretty smoothly. Lap times were in the 80's. Fast time for my class was set by another S2000,he a lurker here
, that ran in the 79's. I ran in the 84's. FTD was in the low 70's.
There is another event in August sometime if anyone is interested!

Well the lurker post....
Enjoyed meeting you Mack,
The track was fast and fun. Could of used some racing rubber though to help in the turns. If I remember correctly the class had 2 Boxes, 1 Audi TT, two older 911s, and of course the 2 S2Ks. It was a long day, but lots of fun.

I'm so envious of you guys! I just had an autox that I ran entirely in 1st gear and only took 30 seconds to run! One of the big downsides of living in Hawaii. There is only one permanent road course on the island!
Nice meeting you and you buds too!
You should really try and make the Asheville get together even if its only for part of it! It's going to be alot of fun!
Hope to see you at an event in B'ham in the near future! Between now and then I've got to get some laps under my belt and make you earn that top spot!

See you soon!
Oh and if you see Brad the Boxster dude give him my best regards!

For a moment I even entretained thoughts of catching the 240Z! Ultimately I was about .4 seconds back, I guess this would be almost 1 sec on a 60-70 second track. This is closer that usual, but still behind
