Default Does anyone here having problems with keeping strakes on?

because i sure do... they don't stay on very well... every so often i see them hanging by the 2 screws on the back about to fall off... does anyone else have this problem? if so, did any of you do anything to the strakes to make them stay on? I was almost about to silicone them onto the car from the inside of the strake... i dont think silicone will damage the paint...

any suggestions? ideas?

I have had the same problem...
I suggest taking it back to dealer. It is under warrenty. If that fails, take the whole thing off and check for the missing pin/gromit that fastens the strake to the body. I was in the same boat as you and I fixed it by replacing that pin.

The parts cost about $10 total...pin/gromit, screws, etc.

I have the same problem. Where does the pin/grommet go?

Hey tenblade-- what do you cut? General surgeon myself.

mine fell off once...just the drivers side....actually it was hanging on to the car for dear life.....?

Does anyone have problems with small rock chips and stuff on the strakes....mine look all chewed up from rocks and crap in the road, since my wheels are not the correct offset, they stick out of the fenders about a mm or two.....so more stuff gets thrown out of the fronts!

I wonder how much it would cost to have those painted again?
