This has been covered over and over again. Please use UTH (Under the Hood) for technical purposes. If you want to know how a supercharger works, no problem your in the right place. If you want to know if it's pretty and shiny post somewhere else. We started UTH to sort out the difference (mainly all the BS). Again if you are asking a question about a performance part positive or negative opinions it's highly unlikely that it hasn't been brought up before on this board. Moving this thread to CarTalk. Thank You for your future cooperation.

Short version...Fit & finish was horrible, clamp on design

Long version...At the end of last summer, I purchased RM Racing's exhaust. When it arrived, it didn't look nowhere near what their website pics looked like. On their website, it had a pic of an exhaust that looked like the HKS Hiper. The one I received looked like what's on their website now. I called and complained about false advertising and their reason was that they haven't updated their website pics, yet (It was only on their website for a couple of months ). They agreed to reimburse all my money (I'm the reason why they finally changed their pics on the website). When I opened the package, the exhaust had numerous nicks & scratches and the welding was horrible. The welds weren't even in line (straight). Heck, a universal muffler's fit & finish was probably better. Also, it had a clamp-on design, which I hate.

It might have been an isolated incident w/mine, but I hope all of their exhaust aren't coming from the manufacturer like mine. I know everyone's results will vary, however there were a couple of owners on this board who dyno'd and have lost as much as 5-7 hp w/this exhaust (Even though their website has a dyno of it gaining 7.2 hp). On the positive side, the exhaust tips looked really good and since you can only see the tips, and nothing else like the mufflers (Unless you look really close and underneath the s2k), no one will notice the nicks & scratches if you have them. I hope this helps you out.

I don't have this exhaust personally but I know someone who does. The exhaust sounds nice at speed but tends to resonate at lower rpm. The look is nice but I did not see the install so I can't comment on that. As far as I know it doesn't same much if any weight. Just my limited opinion.
