Funny: Dumbest thing I've ever done in regards to my S
Hey guys/gals,
Here's the dumbest thing I've ever done in regards to my S. It's funny now, since the ordeal is over.
I had a great dinner (Steak, potatoes, corn, etc.) at my buddy's last night and she offered me quite a bit of wine, so stayed later to "sober up". I drove home late w/ the top down (as always) and the weather was just awesome. But once, I got home around midnight, my passenger side window would not go up.
It freaked me out. (Awhile back, I was playing w/ the one-touch up/down window kit for the passenger side and forgot to disconnect the battery and ended up w/ a short, but it was all good once I went back to stock, or so I thought).
I stayed up til 2 AM rechecking all the fuses, rechecking all the wiring, etc. and was about to tear into the door to see if the motor was burnt out and to manually raise the window up, etc. But, by then I was too tired and it was too dark. So, I went to bed w/ the passenger side window open, in the open garage.
Got up at 5AM to check the weather, if it rains I had to catch the bus, but it didn't. So, I drove to work, left the window open at the Pentagon, and called a Honda dealer from work. Brown's (closest) told me to bring it in.
Here's the funny part. The guy gets in the car and asks me, "So, what's wrong w/ your window and which window? (as he's raising and lowering both windows).
I'm going, "What, How, Huh"
He states, "Sir, you had the child safety lock ON. This little switch here"
I'm just glad it's all over, and So glad it didn't rain, and so glad I got my S back.
Child safety lock, who would've thunk it?
Hope someone learns from my mistake or at least get a good laugh out of it.
LT

Nice dawg, it happened to me before also, but while driving, and it was this hot gurl trying to put the window down, i was freakin. Then i figured it out. I felt like a huge dumb @ss. Live and learn right.
that was the first thing that popped into my mind when i started reading your post.
and now whenever you read a similiar post, it will be the first thing in your mind as well
trust me, you've learned your lesson!

A few people in the past have told me they were going to bring their S in to have it looked at because of the same problem. That's the first thing I'll ask them and...well, you weren't the only one.
At least it wasn't a real problem.
