I've seen this problem on all model years so far so I was wondering how many people have had a warranty repair on this or have the problem and have not bothered to have it repaired.

To clarify, the problem is that when you lower the top the driver window does not go down fully. Or, when you push the driver side power window button all the way down (known as "one-touch" down or "express" down) the window does not fully retract into the door.

BTW, I had this problem on my '95 Prelude and can't believe it's still something that plagues the entire Honda product line.

Please cast your vote.

It is hard to believe there is still a problem with this after all these years. My dealer will repair it, but I'm in no rush to get it fixed since the window does work.

Seems like everyone encounters this one sooner or later. My window stopped working at around 6,000 miles and I had it fixed under warranty.
That was last year, and so far it's fine. I still play it safe by lowering the driver's side window before dropping the top. It's just second nature by now.

I have had this repaired 3 times so far in the last 1.5 years of ownership (MY02). They updated the TSB again in April 03. Lets see how this one lasts.

I voted choice #3, but am waiting for parts to arrive to have it repaired. No big deal really, but I'm having clutch buzz, spark plug, window, and squeeky clutch all done at one time. All this is on the 2001, the 2000 was plagued by clutch buzz, and MAP sensor glitch, but the drivers window has always worked.

Colin, I'm about where you are. The dealer has the part but it's a PITA for me to take it in for something that is pretty much just an annoyance. I have to take time off work, drive to the dealer, wait at least 2 hours, and hope they don't mess anything else up on the car. I also don't want a possible door rattle like others have had.

So far 12 of 23 people had the regulator replaced (52% of those that responded), and three of those say the problem returned. Hmmm, this looks like an "F" on Honda's reliability scorecard.

Another option is to install an aftermarket module like the one a friend of mine put in his S. It fixes this problem because it continues to send the pulse signal to the motor until the window is all the way down. It also adds a "one-touch auto up" feature. I think he said the modules sold for about $25 or $50 each, not sure.

I installed emc2's one-touch. No problem so far (almost 1 year).
If breaks, hope it's convered under warranty.

I've had two Integra's (87 and 94) and put on a total of 392,000 miles with this never happening. The S2000 has 45,000 miles and no problems with it... My new RSX Type S has 2,800 miles (in under 4 weeks) and no problems with it.

Guess Acura must be doing something different than their parent company!

Oh, and they were $25 each. Definite recommendations for the convertible top for people who have not done this yet. Extremely easy, and easily worth $25.

LT'S S2K, you have more info on that "one-touch" module?
