July 4th Get Together (2nd Annual)
Last year Jo and I hosted the July 4th party. We had a good time and we trust others did too, so we are doing it again. Here's the plan:
- Party begins (drinks and appetizers): 6:00 pm.
- Dinner (BBQ, sides, dessert): 7:00 pm.
- Head to Trinityfest for the fireworks display around 9 pm.
Jo & I live just north of downtown Dallas so we are about 3 miles from the fireworks display which will be held near Reunion arena. We will either drive down to the West End as we did last year, walk down to Katy Trail or purchase tickets for a roof top view. We are still researching this. Note that if we go back down to the West End, I have been told that there will be less traffic and more police. Hopefully no more people throwing fireworks into the crowds.
Where to Meet: Our house which is located at 4115 Buena Vista, Dallas, TX 75204. For most of you, get to highway 75, exit at Fitzhugh go west approximately 1/3 mile, turn left (go south) on Buena Vista we are on the right approximately 1/8 mile from Fitzhugh. If you get lost, call 214.219.0990.
We'll supply the food and soft drinks. Please reply to this thread or PM by July 2st so we know how much food to buy.

So many fireworks, so little time! We'll be on the boat on Eagle Mountain watching the fireworks over here on the Fort Worth side of things. We'll miss you all, especially Temmings' catering 
Is there anything else going on that weekend? Sure would be fun to see everyone...
