I actually posted this orginally a couple of years ago. I did some calculations for top speed by gear. Keep in mind that this does take into account for any aerodynamics and would be valid in a perfect environment but I think these numbers are pretty close. Of course the car is computer limited to 150 without a new ECU.

I don't doubt you but I never trust the speedo on the S2000 but it is usually behind. I will check for the link about the car being limited to 150 and post it if I can find it. Maybe it was 155 ?

never know, i know someone with an s2k, new ecu, and a few things, hit 159??

 

I think the car wil hit close to 160 with the top up in perfect conditions if the computer doesn't shut it off.

I can't find anywhere around here to find out if mine will go that fast

 

If you are ever in Raleigh/Cary area, there is about a 10 mile strech of 64 west, strait as an arrow, with no possibility for cops unless they are behind you, or you pass one. There are hardly ever cars on that road, thats where i have my fun
