I have made some significant changes to the backend layout of the photo storage that shouldn't effect you directly unless:

You've linked directly to an image in your album rather than using the [PHOTO] tags. This will include any offsite links, signatures or other [IMG] tags.

No this is not a conspiricy to make your lives miserable, it's a necessary change to make the gallery work better now and in the future. The old links were direct accesses to the image files. If those disappeared for whatever reason (not the originals but the scaled copies) then you would receive "Failed to create image variation". Now the links are indirect so the scaled copies will always be available even if they need to be created. It also allows me to arrange the files on the server in a more efficient manner (all 300,000 of them). Should I need to reorganize the file locations again in the future this problem won't happen. The URL of the image is independent of the actual file path and location on the server.

Sounds complicated but it's a big deal from where I sit and allows me to continue work. I did mention that some things that needed doing were going to be painful

Approximately how long do you expect the photo gallery to be out of service?

This morning I was getting the "Failed to create" message. Now I get the "403:Access Denied" message.

Do you expect to have everything fixed by Sunday night (07/13/03)?
