Default Major reduction in rear gear set prices: an even great value in performance gains

After much searching, we have been able to find new suppliers for the 4.3, 4.44, and 4.77 rear gear sets. They are the same gear sets we have been selling all along, from the same manufacturer that makes the OEM S2000 rear gears.

The new price will be $590, a $135 reduction from our former price. At this new low price, the considerable performance gains realized from installing a higher ratio rear gear set can be had for under $1,000 (including typical installation costs of $300-$400), making this arguably the greatest bang-for-the buck performance mod an S2000 owner can make.

Anticipating much higher demand at this lower price, we are building stock here in the US so individual orders will not have to be shipped from Japan (where the gear sets are made), as is now the case. Consequently, while we assemble stock there may be 1-2 week shipping delays.

At this new low price, we will not be including the shims required for adjusting the final mesh of the ring and pinion. However, most good installers will have easy access to the shims required.

The gear sets can be ordered on our web site at this new low price now.

Sorry for sounding like a retard, but how does this actually improve performance? And...does it decrease gas mileage or anything?

omg, that's awesome.

minako-- you might want to do a search on "4.44" the improvements are significant, especially to acceleration off the line.
