There are always rumors going around like: Jackson is going to make a Vortec-based SC, this company is making a turbo kit, etc. but when you call the company about it, they have no idea what you are talking about...

My main point:

There was talk last week about a Comptech boost upgrade kit... which would include a smaller blower pulley and an intercooler. When I asked Mike B about being one of the first on the buyer's list he replied:

"Gosh Shane, this is the first I've heard about a boost upgrade kit for the S2K. We had already tried running higher boost during the development process and weren't finding any more power.

Mike Bibinoff
General Manager
Comptech USA"

So... who made up this "new" product? And whoever made up this fictitous product: What are you going to send me when I mail you a check?

Shaner,

I, for some reason, do remember reading about the upgrade in one of the threads here on this board. Although I didn't start it, I did perpetuate it in the "Challenge to you electric gurus" thread,....for that I apologize.

However, if you send me a check, I will gladly send you a picture of the upgrade kit offered by Jackson Racing for their Civic or Integra kits...or if you send me enough, I will send you the actual upgrade kit .

Obviously I was joking, unless you were seriously going to send me a check....

Greg,

I would prefer those biodegradable starch packing peanuts... they just melt in your mouth!

I was really looking forward to that boost upgrade kit and am a little disappointed to hear that it does not exist...

Oh well. If I want more hp, I'll just have to get a Viper (which my new wife said no to in favor of my Stook)

does this mean comptech isn't going to make the passenger ejection seat for passengers who just can't handle my driving?

We could probably build one if the price is right. Would you like that with a parachute or without?

Mike, it might add to the expense a bit, but could there be an switch/option dependent upon the passenger? *smirk*

I'll sketch up some ideas or photoshop up something and get back to you. hopefully, after some hefty R&D, we can get enough interest to get a big GB on this one!

I'm in!

It's guy gossip. They become rumors. Kinda like chick gossip, but about cars or technology or sports. LOL
