Stolen parts, be on the lookout.
Well, I just removed my hardtop last night since the Monsoon storms seem to have disappeared... and what do I find this morning when I go outside to leave for work, my car in pieces
They slashed my soft top and took my seats, shifter knob, stereo, antenna, and maybe more I am not to sure still. I haver to re-wire the engine to see if it still runs since they hacked all of the wiring so the alarm would not sound
My poor car only has 9000 miles on it!
If you see these parts for sale around town or on Ebay, they are very likely stolen, beware. The officer that came by said there has been a rash of S2000 thefts in recent weeks, everybody be careful out there.
Hopefully it will be back together soon, I do not want to drive some crappy rental for too long.

YIKES! Sorry to hear about that. Guess my car will be staying in the garage for awhile. We'll keep a lookout for "mysterious" local deals on eBay...
P.S. Nice to know my factory alarm upgrade will prove TOTALLY WORTHLESS...

Thanks guys.
I think the first thing I will do when I get my baby back is to install one of those really sensitive alarms you hear going off all of the time. Annoying, yes, but it will probably deter all but the professional thieves. s2k_zonie, you are right, I do not place much faith in Honda security...
I will definitely let you all know if I hear anything from the cops, though the chance of that happening is close to nill. I am sure somebody out there is pocketing a nice amount of cash right now
s2kJer, funny you should ask. I live in Central Phoenix where I would not really be surprised if something like this happened (that is why I garage my car at home). But, this occurred at my girlfriends house in Greyhawk (North Scottsdale if you are not familiar with that area). Even stranger is that she lives in a culdesac far from any public streets. There is no way anybody could have known my car was there. Either somebody had been keeping an eye on the car, waiting for me to remove the hardtop, or someone was cruising around "parts shopping". All I can say is it is a good thing I did not catch them in the act! Sorry to hear about your Integra. That is what my previous car was as well. The officer actually mentioned that she was surprised they did not take my wheels and RM racing exhaust as well. Maybe they got spooked?
The car is down at Showcase Honda now awaiting the new parts. Hopefully it will get taken care of in a timely manner, I miss the car already.
Thanks again guys,

My S is protected by Glock
. My feeling is shoot first, shoot second, shoot third, shoot some more then ask questions.
Look at the Viper Responder alarm w/ motion sensor (under $450 installed) & invest in some of Kodakan_4 seat locks ($50). Slappin' on a Club might not be a bad idea either.
I'm so paranoid I keep the alarm on while the S is garaged!

OMG...that sucks...
Maybe better you didn't confront them...they coulda been pretty well armed! Better to buy new car parts rather than body parts!
Hope you recover quickly.....and those bastards should fry!
I would break down and cry if I found my S like that!!

Hey everybody. I just got off the phone with Showcase Honda and apparently the total damages come to roughly $10,000.00 +
Good thing I have full coverage! From what I gathered on the phone, just the seats are around $5000.00!!! Whoa!
I have a question though. Does anybody know if all the various years seats are interchangeable? I know a guy who just removed his seats and they are in great shape. If I could get the used seats I could save a nice chunk of change. Then I could put some of the insurance money toward the alarm, seat and wheel locks as well.
