Default HKS Exhaust

I am looking at HKS exhaust for my s2000. It seems like the best exhaust but i was wondering why the price was almost double that of Spugen or Invidia? What makes it worth $1200?

Why do you think the HKS is the best exhaust? Sound? Look?

HKS is not worth 1200. It a really cheap exhaust compare to toher company out there. HKS is realatively a cheap exhaust only about 800-950 depending where you get it from. I think the HKS is a good looking exhaust and noise but power is not much. Just my 2 cent.

i bought mine for 450 used, and you can get them from various GB's for around 900. I love mine. The way it sounds.. everything.

I can tell you this, no exhust will give you the power gain you are looking for. I don't think the HKS has robbed me of any, and if it did, shooo, i will sacrifice the 1 that it might have taken

I've heard of many issues with the built quality of the HKS. The Invidia it good and if it's too loud then put in the silencers and it sounds real nice. Evolution might still be having a GB going on for the Invidia and Jeff's a great guy if you PM him with any questions on the Invidia.

IMO the hks has the best sound. Sounds just they way the car needs to sound. I don't think there are any dual exhausts for this car that give any power. 2-3 hp at the most but nothing ever noticeable. Max HP I've seen is from a single outlet Amuse r1000 titan (up to 10 hp) without the catalytic converter and at $2000 it's a little too steep IMO.
Best part of the Amuse is the weight savings.

There are currently group buys fro both of these exhausts. Just make sure you are ok with how loud these exhausts can be. I would get the amuse dual exhaust. Full titanium and sounds great.

I have HKS and I love it! Recently though I've been hearing there are no gains, other than weight savings. Also, that with the resonator between the two canisters the exhaust gases eventually cause this to rust and break. So, It hasn't happened to me yet (knock on wood), but for the long run I'd like to get the Amuse Dual. I've heard and seen it in person, I think THAT is the best one out there.
