James: Finally gave in to Valentine 1 huh! How did you mount the main unit? I have the remote unit right in front, on top of the dash, on the vent outlets. I find that I get to keep my eyes on the road better that way.
When James I get together for Lime Rock next weekend, I'm going to try mount the remote in another place: the top A-pillar plastic piece, to the left of the interior lamp. I've ordered a spare A-pillar plastic piece, and will cut a hole in it to mount the remote. It should look like it was designed to go in there, if I manage to do it well.
The main unti will mount where James has his, using his mounting system.

Rick ... what would be the point of having the remote display up high and in plain site? I have mine on the steering column so others cannot see the lights go off. Now if you could put the main unit up there...
Red_s2k,
I ended up mounting the remote unit under the dash to the right of the steering column beneath the turn signal. The detector unit was mounted by James over the secret compartment, just like in his car.
My V1 saved me twice over the weekend. It seems the local fuzz were trying out their new instant-on hand-held device. The were standing on the side of the road, no patrol car in sight, aiming at traffic coming their way. I got signals and slowed down both times. People just ahead of me got nabbed.
