At the end of the last meet it was suggested that we do one more ScotDrive

Just checked the List of Meets thread and the 25th conflicts with the Heyford Academy Day - but apart from that seems OK?

The other October dates seem even more crowded - guess every one wants that last S2ki hit

I'd love to come. I'll ask Noony later.

I think we'll leave the route up to you and Euan. You've picked great roads so far.

Another meet - this is costing me a fortune in Mini DV tapes

Never mind, I should be able to recoup some of the cost by passing them in brown envelopes to the relevant authorities

I have to say that I prefer the West of the A9 (Aberfeldy, Loch Tay, Loch Tummel, Kinloch Rannoch etc - prefer to avoid Loch Lomond if poss - far too busy/close to civilisation) but it is longer to get there for some folk.

Borders can be busy also, but it is closer for those south of the border (although Dave & Lisa have already signed up for the January Scotmeet in Thurso, so distance not an issue for them ).

The Ettrick Dale road and the one past Tibbie Shiels Inn are good, but you are likely to get stuck behind matrons of morningside out for a drive in their metros .

I could be up for this. Another new member who may be interested is s2kfiltre - Glasgow-based Jim has been in touch with me recently and I hope he'll make it to a meet soon. Jim? You there, Jim?

I would have been interested, but all my weekends are booked up now. Right up to Topless in Blackpool on 1st Nov.

Sorry we can't make it. Hopefully we'll be able to make the next one.

I'll be there.

West of Scotland, Borders, Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway....all sound good to me.
Did a Borders run last week. Started in Glenrothes and as usual I manged to get lost.

As far as the MO is concerned, now I've got new tyres and the alignment is sorted, I should be able to handle the run without getting totally fecked.

Let me know if I can help scouting the roads guys.

It'll be nice to actually meet the Roadmeister at last

Do you mean Glenrothes in Fife Iain ?

You must have been seriously lost if you ended up there while on a Borders run

Nope, I actually aimed for the Borders. It was only when I got there that I got confused by all the roadworks round Selkirk.
I have to say it was a fantastic day out.
I was in Glenrothes to get my alignment sorted. What a difference! Can definitely recommend Star Performance guys. They highlighted a problem that Chathams are hopefully sorting this weekend.
