Default Please Help, Im Very Frustrated- Why Wont These Work?!?

i am in the market for some wheels. ive got $1,500 to spend on wheels and tires. someone PLEASE tell me why i am being told these wheel sizes will not be good. what exactly is the PROBLEM!?

17X8.5 front with 40 offset
and
17X9.5 rear with 38 offset.

would a better size tire fix this? and what are the actual problems with doing this?!? i do not race my car, just daily drive it in an agressive fashion

5X114.3?

you can run those, you will just need a good lift kit

seriously, if you plan on running 9.5" in the rear, even with stock suspension you will need an offset of 70mm +

the fronts are not good either. 8.5" is WIDE for the front and again, you will need an extremely high offset so they tuck under the fenders.

in a nutshell, you need much higher offsets.

MUCH higher offsets needed.

A 'great fit' rear off the top of my head is the Volk CE-28N at 17x9 with a 63 offset. You're talking about a wheel that is 1/2" wider, with an offset that's 25mm (~1") further out. These wheels would probably stick out almost 1 1/2" past the fenders, throw rocks all over the side of the car, and rub on virtually any bump.

The fronts are probably off by a similar amount.

They don't fit.

The problem is your tire will stick out about 1.5" past your fender in the front and nearly 2.5" in the rear.

FN-01R
1 piece forged super light weight wheel geared towards maximizing race performance. Its light weight feature allows faster pick up and shortens response time. You can sure feel the 'kick-n-go'.

You can get away with 17x7 with the 45 offset. It's not the best but you can get away with it. But try to remember the car has staggered wheels. You should try to keep it staggered if possible. It's not necessary but it's better.

You're not going to maximize performance with 17 x 7s. I suggest instead of trying to fit this brand of rims on your car find a different brand that fits your budget AND your car.
