Default superlight flywheel and upgraded clutch (with pics)

hi guys

my poor s is almost back on the road... just waitin for a clutch throwout bearing to arrive..

currently i have a jap f20c engine sitting in the garage awaiting install... manage to pick it up for $3800 with about 8000kms on it. it came with a rather rusted looking clutch.. hmm too bad i didnt take some pics of it... but it was just brown and rusted from sitting there...

since the engine's out i thought i would upgrade the stock clutch.. (i havent even looked at the old one yet cos it's still on the car) so this is what i am putting in !

here is the pressure plate

cushion ceramic clutch plate on top of a light flywheel

the front of the aluminum/steel flywheel

back of the light flywheel

in comparison to the stock flywheel
this one weighs 3.35kg vs stock 6.2kg
here is the stock flywheel nicely machined
front:

back:

the stock pressure plate was upgraded from 700kg clamping to 900kg !!
how much did this cost ?
-getting rid of surface rust
-upgrading pressure plate 700->900kg
-machining stock flywheel
-new cushion ceramic clutch plate
$503 bucks
-the firdanza aluminium/steel flywheel cost $500bucks

in comparison to a exedy hypersingle clutch kit which costs $1600 from this clutch place, and the pressure plate force is 980kg which is only 80kg more than this upgraded stock clutch,
i am pretty happy... but the test will be when the clutch is in the car.... hopefully either this wkend or next wkend

Good to hear Fireball sounds like you got a good deal on the engine, do you have to reduce the compression to handle our fuel?

Are you saying that you paid $1003 total for the clutch and flywheel? That sounds like a good deal if they are good quality components.

I wonder if the pretty paint and logos make it perform better? On a part you can't see
