I met two new virgin (i.e., never heard of www.s2ki.com) S2000 owners today under the strangest circumstances....considering the weather

*go to pick up my S at Martin Main Line Honda (supposed to check out driveline buzzing noise...did nothing); go to the cashier to find my car around 6:30 pm.
*another guy (UPenn student ) is waiting to pick up another car. Of course, it turns out to be an S2000....so I turn him onto our site and club
*while the two of us are waiting for our cars to be driven to the front, another young guy comes in and asks if his S2000 is ready to pick up Turns out that he ALSO does not know the s2ki.com inside scoop.... so I give him the indoctrination

The lady at the reception desk was amazed that three (3)people at one time were stupid enough to drive the S in snow/ ice

Sooooooooo...in a few minutes there are 3 S2000 lined up in the driveway....2 silver and 1 black....all covered with 2-3" of snow/ ice!

They were both fairly recent owners, so asked about my mods The bad news is that I was the only one with snow tires, so I hope they got home safely so that they can check out s2ki tonight....and sign up here

Wow, what a great site! Thank you paS2K for giving me the address. Well, I have to say, I had an adventurous drive home. I went down Lancaster Ave, slipping and sliding all the way. I made a left onto Ardmore Ave. I was tailgated the whole way, angering my Front wheel drive and 4 wheel drive counterparts. I wiggled, literally, the whole way to Darby, made a left there to go to Eagle road and then to West Chester pike in hopes of staying on well travelled routes. As I made a right onto West Chester pike, I picked up as much speed as I could (yeah, yours truly was still on Bridgestone Potenzas ) in hopes of beating the West Chester pike and Lawrence road light. I figured that the momentum could get me up the shallow but long incline of West Chester Pike. Well, I got a red light. I got screwed. As soon as the light turned green, my car and I made a valiant attempt to get up the hill with no luck. A Lexus owner was spinning and flailing as well so I didn't feel too bad. I parked the car on the side and jogged a brisk mile home. Once home, I explained to my folks what happened. They both told me that being MG owners, they never got stuck in the snow. So I got some flak for that. Once the hazing process was over, my Dad and I set out to see if we couldn't get my Baby moving. We tried a few times to get her rolling. A good Samaritian by the name of John, pulled over and joined the fight as well. We got the car about a quarter of the mile up the road when a tow truck came by. Accepting defeat, they gave me a tow back to the house. I was so angry after flashing my Marcus Gronholm-like rallying skills to get there, the most travelled road screwed me over. It was probably pay-back for all the times I went just a little faster than the speed limit

I'm going to continue to poke around the site. Too bad we didn't have a camera on hand to take a picture. That would have been a good pic and story to send to Car and Driver. Again, thanks for enlightening me about the site pa. Hopefully we'll see each other again during better weather condidions. Until then, a set of Blizzaks will be on my Christmas list

Here's to sunny conditions and staying within the 6500rpm power band

Put on a good set of dedicated snow tires and those FWD and AWD cars with their all season radials will be history. I drag race them all the time across snow/slush/ice covered intersections. They simply can't believe what they see (mostly my tail lights).

Please do. The manual says not to use chains on this car. I don't know the exact reason why. So let us know after you've done it.
