"S 2000" logo on backwards
Anyone else have this problem. I bought a 2001 s2k RED in august of 2001. I drove it right off the show room floor. I still love it as much as I did when I bought it,HOWEVER, my roomate recently purchased a yellow 2001 s2k. I noticed my S 2000 logo reads: 2000 S on my car and S 2000 on his and everyone else's in the world... WTF????
Any one else have this happen to them. I contacted honda, they said they'll fix it for free if I have the emblums. If I dont, it's like 50 bucks. No sweat, but still kinda freaky deaky.
THOUGHTS??? ANyone??? ...

Unless you're pulling our leg, and just kidding about this, I'm really not sure.
Are you referring to the script emblems on the fenders? If so, is it possible that the car was involved in a collision, and the body shop who reapplied the logos screwed up? If the dealer is willing to fix 'em, let them have at 'er! Failing that, you could always opt for the logoless approach like other members.
Good luck, and Happy Holidays!

It might be evidence of body shop work unfortunately
I hate to say it, but just because the car is new, doesn't mean it hasn't been hit and had body work done and the shop didn't know which way the emblem went. Thats the only reason i can think of. By the way, people buy new cars with body work on them everyday and never know it.

If you bought it new off the showroom floor it's 1 of 2 things.
1.It was damaged on transit and repaired before delivery (it's illegal to sell the car to you without disclosing that)
2.It was put on wrong at the factory accidentally. The s is supposed to be hand made so maybe the worker was tired and just screwed up?!

No way. You got the "Golden S". Congrats.
Immediately bring your winning fender badge to Honda of America for your prize - you are entitled to lifetime fender badge and antenna replacements - you just need to convince Honda!
You are truly lucky. Think about a lotto ticket on the way home.
...really, since you have a MY01 and you just got it, I would say the previous owner did it when he had to re-apply it. The real question is...why did it have to be re-applied? Accident? Or did the other owner think he was being cool?

I'm assuming you bought it brand new in 2K1. If so, does both of your fenders say that or just one? If it was jst one, I would let them know about it and demand to know if it was damaged in transist.
