Until you register your VIN number, your profile will say you are an Enthusiast. To enter your VIN click the start button, then Edit Profile. or Click HERE.

You can enter your VIN and information about the year and colour of your car there. This is totally safe and secure, as no VIN is associated with any user information. (The VINs are all stored in their own database, and no-one has access to them, nor is any VIN attributed to any username - so there are thousands of VINs in there who nobody knows who's is who's!)

Q. I entered my VIN but it says it's invalid. What's wrong?

A. There is a simple tool to help you diagnose problems with VIN entry in your profile. Click: http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/member.php?a...action=checkvin and in the space provided enter your VIN and click the "Check it!" button. You will get a status report about your vin at the top of the page:

VIN: JHMAP11041T0060000
VIN length: is correct
VIN is valid
VIN is already registered.

In this case the VIN entered is already registered by someone else. Please include a copy of the status page when contacting us for help. Send an email to support@s2ki.com and someone will be able to help.

Your VIN is on your V5, and It will always begin JHMAP Below is some info on the VIN composition, and where it is located on the car

Ian, you may want to pixelate the first picture too! I can read it as clear as day if I click on the image!

Just playing devils advocate, but why are you so keen that people enter their VIN numbers?
You've not actually given a reason. (well other than owner/enthusiast which some may claim is enough anyway )

No need to open the bonnet just look at the visible one seen through the windscreen on the near side where the dash board meets the windscreen
