Default What Kind of Gas do you use?

I'm a new owner, i just got my S last week but have no filled up the gas yet. I heard we have to use premium right? What are the numbers (87, 91...etc)

what number are we suppose to use and what number do you guys use?

is there a big differnece if we go with the cheaper kind, 87?

Yeah there's a difference. The car is designed for 91. If you use less the computer will compensate but you'll see reduced performance.

if i use 91 it should be ok right. i dont need to use 93

yeah u might as well pay the extra 10 cent a gallon even though it only takes 2 cents to refine it to a better octance but its all in the fair game of capitalism

We only get up to 91 around here, at least readily available. It should be fine on 91.

91 octane isn't that much more expensive... I did the rough calculations once, and using 91 over 87 costs roughly $1000 more over the 120k miles.

I thought it was 92 (Chevron) here in cali... hmmm

Just get the highest that the gas station has... If you find race gas... yeah dump that in

120 Octane. Leaded Racing fuel

Well thats what i run in my civic...

but when i buy my S2k after iraq it will get 91 and not any less
