My car has Mobile1 10W30 right now but
I recently moved to korea and here they dont have Mobile1 10W30.
My oil level is little low and I bought Motul 10W40.
Is it ok to fill up with Motul?

No!!! They will mix and immediately coagulate into a heavy gel, and eventually set like a 2-part epoxy!

j/k, shouldn't be a problem mixing, the additives will blend, so you'll have a little of the properties of each, sort of a 10W32(ish). I'm sure Road Rage will respond with a MUCH better technical answer.

You should be fine.

Pick an oil (like the 10W-40 you mentioned) with the same or higher viscosity range than what's in the car. Don't pick something with less.

i.e. if you had 10W-60 in the car and topped up with 10W-40, your effective viscosity is closer to 10W-40.

Perfectly OK to do so - but I would not play chemistry roulette all the time by mixing different products. They are engineered to perform in the proportions of PAO/ester they contain. Mobil1 uses a small amount of ester to ensure seal swell to offset the tendency of PAO to shrink seals. The amount of ester is unknown to me. My guess is it is less than the 15% estimated to be in the R formulation.

Motul is terrific oil.
