having lurked on this site for about the last year i finally bought myself an x reg roadster on sunday from kettering honda with a years honda care warranty. i asked whether the 1 years hondacare warranty covered corrosion on the wheels and was told that this was a known s2000 problem and would be covered anyway on the standard 6 year anti corrosion warranty. comments anyone?

Not covered on the 6 year anti corrosion warranty afaik. However, my 4 year old car has just had a new wheel from Honda with no arguments. Someone else got a set changed on a similar aged car recently as well.

 

personnally, i'm not worried as the wheels are in perfect condition and the honda care warranty does cover the wheels. just interested if the 6 year anti corrision warranty does cover the wheels.

 

I'd be very suprised, and I'm pretty sure that the corrosion warranty is worded so that the part has to be corroded all the way through or a structural failure.
