Ok, I have been wanting to do both of these upgrades since I got the car, right now I can only afford one of the two and I can't decide which one first!!

1)Neuspeed Exhaust

2)Comptech Side Skirts

Both are roughly the same price!! Any and all opinions appreciated!

The exhaust is mostly about sound, maybe a little about horsepower and maybe a little about looks.

The side skirts are only about looks.

It's your decision!

I would definitely go with side skirts for its look. All these exhausts showed little or no gain and sometimes slight loss in performance. Therefore it is all about the rumbling SOUND. So if it's not broken why fix it. I would stay with stock exhaust until it falls off then upgrade. On the other hand, I might hold off on the side skirts and use that to buy other suspension goodies (Spoon X brace, strut tower bar, sway bar etc...). Just my 2 cents. BTW, I will move this thread to the Show Room where you will get many more opinions...

If you get the side skirts, you better love them because I understand you have to drill holes in the car. I think some of the people who have gotten them now regret it. Why not get some of Rick's leather accessories and some three-piece floormats. They do absolutely nothing for performance, but they dress up the cockpit very nicely.

I thought about both of these things. In the end, I decided to do with the exhaust what nvmys2k recommends: upgrade when the stock exhaust dies.

As for the side skirts, I thought it best to live with the car for a while before installing any of the spoilers or skirts. For now, I think I love the basic lines of the design and don't want to mess with them. But down the road, I may change my mind. Probably, I'd start with the front and/or rear spoiler.

My suggestion it to live with the car awhile and change things as you have a need.

Within a week I decided a I needed a different gearshift knob, but many like the stocker. I may never have a need for skirts, but after a year decided I wanted more exhaust noise to complete the experience for me.

Take your time.

I say go for the Comptech side skirt. I going to order in about a week. My S2K is White/Red. I've got front & rear spoilers from dealer. I going to do engine/performance modifications after I got over 15k to 20k miles. Kinda letting the other guys test out the enhancements before I jump in.

Ok so your gonna spend about 500-600 bucks....If you had to go for the side skirts they nice!

Or you could go. X-brace, STB(neuspeed), TB(bored out), Floor mats, Ricks wind screen/or center consoul cover for roughly the same price!

Just a comparison!

I think a combo of Porterfield R4S pads, brake ducts, and a proflow throttle body would be far more ideal and all combined would equal the same or less than the price of the exhaust.

IMO, the comptech side skirts are not too impressive. Exhaust is a lot of money spent for a couple HP that might not even be noticable.

Ben

PS: This is why/how I pick the products that I sell. I only sell products after being a customer of the company with my own car. I dont sell junk/random stuff, I pick the products that I think are the best value for the money and then setup distribution with the manufacturer. This makes it easier for everyone else to get these same products at cheaper prices then I spent for them (so hopefully I'll make my money back). Anyway, from the list of manufacturers that I carry we can see my recommended list of best bang for the buck
-Bulletproof Auto Brakes Manufactured by Porterfield (pads, steel braided lines, motul fluid)
-proflow throttle bodies
-Bulletproof Automotive brake ducts
-Bulletproof Automotive front spoiler (mostly looks but also helps with the effectiveness of the brake ducts)
-ACT clutch
