You said you were "75%" recovered. Hope you weren't injured too badly. Would be very interested in the particulars of your accident when you feel up to describing them.

In the meantime, best of luck on your recovery.

Will they be totalling the car? I have $14K plus damage to mine, but that's not enough to total it, so I'm worried about how well they're going to be able to put humpty-dumpty back together again.

I'll give you 3 grand for the car

Is it totalled? If so you should try and buy it back from the insurance company, it looks like it has alot of potential as a race car!! (gotta look at the bright side)

I thought it was about time to reply all your generous comments I will begin discussing the details of the accident once I can fully remember them~~ Yes... that was blood in/out of the car.... I sustained cuts to my head and the passenger sustained minor injuries on the hand..... as for the damages, it is still yet to be assesed by the insurance company but preliminary estimates by my shop has amounted to approximately $36,000CDN.... around $24000US....

that's all the info for now, keep this thread alive and i'll update everybody on the progress of the accident

P.S. - It'll be interesting, I promise

Glad to hear that you're recuperating.

If damage is already estimated at 24K, then you're very near the usual 80% rule of thumb for totalling a car. I would really fight for this if that's the case--from all I've heard, seldom do cars that have sustained heavy damage get fully restored.

Good luck!
