.. for a friend.

qualifications:

- decent mileage out of them
- on the grippy side
- not too noisy
- fairly good all-season (just wet weather, no snow)

too much to ask? Post your recommendations please!

S03

I hear nothing but rave reviews about them.

I am now running the Toyo Proxes RA-1's.. So far so good. But I don't plan for them to last too long.

I'm happy with my AVS Sports.

BMW 328ci w/Sport Package, 225/45/17 and 245/40/17

Tirerack brings up:

BFG G-Force T/A
Bridgestone Expedia S-01
Bridgestone Potenza S-02 Pole Position
Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole Position
Dunlop SP Sport 9000
Pirelli PZero System Asimmetrico
Yokohama AVS Sport
Bridgestone Potenza RE730

-stock Conti Sports/Michelin Pilots out of the equation-

I'm thinking the S-03s are the good pick, or if price is a concern, the AVS Sports.

Don't reject Kuhmo 712's just because they cost less. They score well on tirerack test data (for what it's worth) versus others mentioned.

I've been happy with mine, though I haven't had long enough to vouch for wear. (280 tread wear rating) I can vouch for plenty of grip, very quiet on road. good wet performance.

SO3'S or believe it or not Kuhmos. Neither are noisey and have better tread life. Don't get Pirelli's, they are very noisey.
