Default Ah, the Advantages of Being Adult

We purchased our S2000 Tuesday evening, and on Saturday I was to be entertaining the guests at a wedding reception in Woodland Hills, CA, about 60 miles from home. At 3:30 I left home: West on the 91, North on the 5, North on the 101, off at Laurel Canyon. The interchange from the Westbound 91 to the Northbound 5 is awful at its best, but with the current construction it is hideous--down to one lane. Ahead of me were two young kids in a souped-up Eclipse (or was it a Supra? Makes no difference.) I hit a clear spot in traffic and moved over to the fast lane; the Eclipse got stuck in the slow lane. About a mile later I looked in the rear-view mirror to see the Eclipse fly into the fast lane and on my tail. Great! This guy's going to be an idiot! Another mile and there's another clear spot: I move over to the slow lane still doing about 75 mph. The Eclipse moves into the next lane and nails it--he must have been going 90 when he passed me. Another glance in the rear-view mirror and there it was: the motorcycle cop! He passed the red S2000 (slowed to 65 by now) and pulled over the Eclipse at the next off-ramp. Stupid kid!

Ah, the advantages of being adult.

You're lucky you didn't go after him.

hahahahahahahaahahhahaahahahah....

Also about driving on the 91, if you drive around the ontario area or anywhere in that area, you'll find a lot of quick decked out cars. A lot of them can easily dust an S2k, I've witnessed some kills.

Also, I think the cop went after him cuz he gunned it to 90, hehe

Magician, I couldn't have said it better myself. Ever since I picked up my s2k in June, I've been inundated with morons in their cars trying to race me. They want to relive the "Fast and Furious(s/b STUPID). There have been countless Civics, Eclipses, Explorers(!), and other idiots constantly tailing me.

I love my stook but the attention it garners from these idiots transforms my "fun drive into the twisties" into a day of aggravation.

I get the ultimate satisfaction when I see these peasants pulled over by a Smokey..... HA HA HA ... you must have LOVED seeing that!

Ahh the pleasures of seeing them go down in flames....
