... of being a pack-rat!

After gabbing with Cubs2k, darthhonda, and Legal Bill yesterday, I found my plate from the mid-80's (which was on an '82 Fiat Spider, by the way):

Well, I couldn't let it lie. Those front screw hole plugs have been sitting in my parts bin for two years.... Viola!...

Good job, Chris! Now you've got me thinking of doing the same thing.

Thanks, Thomas! Do you have a green plate to make the transplant to?

Bill, I used a fairly dull, one-sided razor with constant pressure placed down on the red plate. I had 3 years of stickers layered up on the red plate, and I went for the bottom layer. Slid it right underneath it and they all came up together fairly easily. Then, when I re-applied it to the green plate, I used a hair drier to warm the residual adhesive. There seemed to be enough of it, and it seems to be pretty well stuck on the green plate now.

Oh, I was talking about removing the license plate from the front bumper only. I don't have a green plate:-(

The front looks so much cleaner without the plate.

Hmmm...doesn't the registration indicate whether it's a red or green plate? If so, be careful - cop might bust you for that if he happened to pull you over for other things.

I have been pulled over at least 7 times over the past 2 years, and none of them even mentioned about my missing front plate.

Right on, Victor. Neb is much happier without his front "tooth."
