removal of the stock front bumper, which curiously has a styrofoam piece directly behind it. This is very easy, requiring the removal of 6 screws on top, 2 in the wheel wells, and about 8 underneath the front bumper.

The construction is CFRP, which I think stands for Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic. So partly CF, I guess.
I've always run with my front plate on due to living in Waikiki, but I couldn't bring myself to put it on this bumper. I guess a couple of $50 traffic tickets would change my mind though
